QST Seminar - Entanglement structures and information dynamics in random quantum circuits

11:00am - 12:00pm
W2-201

Random quantum circuits emerge as a new platform for quantum many-body physics and a tractable setting to explore universal phenomena far from equilibrium. These models have provided new insights into thermalization and chaos through the lens of quantum information and entanglement. In this talk, I will first review the statistical model mapping and the entanglement membrane picture for theoretical analysis of random circuits. Afterwards, I will discuss several closely related topics: 1. Thermalization, symmetry restoration, and quantum Mpemba effects presented in symmetric random circuits. 2. Information capacity, dynamical behaviors, and steady-state distribution across different classes of random circuits. 3. Entanglement phase transitions and information protection time scales in monitored noisy random circuits.
